"In April 16, 2014, the Sewol ferry sank while en route from Incheon to Jeju in South Korea, which caused 295 people's death. The ferry capsized while carrying 478 people, most of whom were secondary school students from my home town, Danwongu, Ansan City.
President Park Geun-hye did not immediately respond for 7 hours after the incident had occurred, and even delayed the rescue operation by commanding the maritime police to send a live broadcast of the situation.
The government manipulated the media by hiring fake bereaved. Police officers were directed to assault the victims' families and protestors when they were marching towards the Cheong Wa Dae (Korean White House) to demand a conversation with the president."

In 1984 (2016), Lim directed three non-Korean male speakers to read excerpts of President Park Geun-hye's apology speech that was made after the Sewol incident in 2014.
While President Park's three male secretaries who are so-called the Three Doorknobs has been influencing the president, Lim questions the sincerity of the president's speech because she has been acting based on the directions given by her advisors.
